Listening

Click between Listening, Paused, and Analyzing to see the recorder's three live states. This is the surface you sit in for the entire visit.

  1. Step one

    Pick a template.

The recorder opens on your template gallery with whatever you used last pinned at the top. Workspace templates and the full Nextvisit library sit underneath, with search if you have more than fits the screen.

  2. Step two

Pick a patient, the rest is filled in.

Select a patient and the recorder pulls in demographics, an active medications table, and a prefilled pre-session context block. Link up to five patient documents into the AI's grounding before you hit record.

    • Patient demographics auto-populate
    • Active medications table on every encounter
    • Link up to 5 patient documents

  3. Step three

    Speak. Watch it transcribe live.

Live, timestamped transcription. The in-progress phrase shows in cyan as the words land. Search the transcript mid-session, pause when the conversation goes off-record, and resume without losing context.

Telehealth visits

Capture the patient's audio at line level, not as speaker bleed.

On a Zoom or Doxy call, the patient's voice plays through your speakers and a normal mic recording catches it as muffled bleed. Telehealth Mode pulls the patient's audio straight from the call's browser tab and mixes it with your mic before transcription. The transcript carries both sides as cleanly as an in-person visit.

  • Line-level patient audio from the video-call tab (Zoom, Doxy, Teams, Google Meet, anything browser-based)
  • Mic and tab audio mixed in the browser, streamed straight to live transcription
  • Per-session toggle on the Session Information screen, set before you click Start Recording
  • Desktop Chromium browsers: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera

Pause and resume re-prompts the share dialog. That's a browser limitation, not a Nextvisit one.
